- How long have you been wakeboarding?
- 8 years
- What’s your favorite thing about it?
- Learning new tricks and going big.
- Who do you usually ride with?
- Derek Conway at the Delta Wakeboard Camp, Daniel Doud, Aaron Aubrey and the Sacramento State Wakeboard Club.
- Where is your favorite place to wakeboard?
- The Sacramento River and the Stockton Delta.
- What is your favorite trick?
- Big flat 360s and tootsie rolls.
- What do you want to work on getting better at?
- Spinning, somehow over the summer I lost my ability to be an ambiturner. I can’t spin to the right and I want to get that back because I like backside 360s
- Worst injury?
- Bicipital tendonitis, displaced radius and stitches near my right eye.
- What do you do in your free time?
- Snowboarding and skateboarding are fun
- Favorite music?
- Hip Hop like The Grouch or Atmosphere. I also like MGMT and some punk rock music.
- Favorite food?
- Sushi for sure.
- Who are your influences?
- My boyfriend Daniel Doud. He is very good and has a ton of style.
- Any organizations you are involved with?
- The Sacramento State Wakeboard Club, we ride three times a week before we go to class, basically school could not get any better. I also work at Michael Low Physical Therapy. Not only do I get experience in the field, but Michael can help me train in a better way to avoid injuries and help me when I do. During the summer I work at the Delta Wakeboard Camp where I ride (because I don’t have a boat) and get to teach people of all ages new tricks.
- Where would you go if you could travel to anywhere in the world?
- I know this isn’t super exotic but I would really like to go to Hawaii. I have never been and I want to learn to scuba dive and surf there.
- If you could change one thing about the world?
- Prevent children from harm. I volunteer at Shriner’s Hospital which is a wonderful place that helps under-privileged children get medical care. I hate to see kids that were harmed, especially when they are too young to prevent it.
- What are your plans for the future?
- In December of 2008, I graduate from Sacramento State with a degree in Kinesiology. I am applying to go to physical therapy school in Fall of 2009, however I am toying with the idea taking a year off to shred the gnar.
