12.4.08 BAJA 1000

Well last week was the 40th Baja 1000 and Osiris’ Jeff “OX” Kargola, Justin Smith and Colton Udall competed in the race, which is considered the most difficult race of the year. This race is a test of your will when your on a dirt bike going 80 mph for close to 700 miles. It is also a test of your will while your sitting in the driver seat of a truck that has over 800 horsepower and a 40 gallon fuel cell behind the driver’s seat. Justin smith knows how that feels in a truck. Yeah, I bet you didn’t know that Osiris has an off road racer on the team. Well back to the dirt bikes, OX created his own team at the last minute and went down to Mexico with little experience and little help. Colton Udall went down to Mexico with the best team, bike and equipment due to the fact that he just signed a with JCR (Jonny Cambell), who is a legend in the sport of Baja. So to the results. Justin Smith came into the finish line in 11th place out of 40 trucks. Ox finished in 5th only two minutes behind Colton who ended up in 4th. CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU. Whoever finishes the Baja 1000 is a winner in our book.
