With the world premiere last Friday in Encinitas, we thought it would be nice to have a premiere in LA. We rented out Laemmle Theatre in Santa Monica and invited the key shops in the area for a special viewing of Feed The Need. Clint, Rattray, Diego, Shuriken, Carlin, Duffel, and Garrett were able to attend, and Fuel TV came by to do some rider interviews for an upcoming episode. Once we receive the airing details, we will let you know. Everyone grabbed some snacks, then grabbed a seat. Osiris is proud of the video, and we just can’t wait for all of you to see it. Our copies have been delivered to Thrasher and within 3 weeks it should be on newsstands. After the show, everyone headed across the street to Barney’s for a little after party. The bar tab grew, and the shuffleboard table came into play. Although Garrett definitely had some skills, it was marketing manager Mike Fitz who annihilated the competition on the table. Eventually it was time to head out. Deigo had a early flight to catch. Although he likes the states, he has a wife and a house in Barcelona to get back to. We gave him a few copies of the video and he headed out. Everyone headed home or to their hotel rooms, and we will do it all over again next weekend in Hood River.
Stu came by the office to get an advance copy of Feed The Need. While here, he also got a nice poster of himself for his little girl’s wall. Most of the team will be in Santa Monica tomorrow night for the premiere at Laemmle Theater on 2nd street. If you can make, please come by, but seats are limited, so no promises. Transworld, Thrasher, and Enjoi sights all have some photos from the premiere last Friday, so check them out.
After a few months of Jason “MayheM” Miller sitting on his behind with nothing to do (except for wearing Osiris kicks during Sirius radio shows, big whoop, you can’t see through the radio…YET), he finally gets a chance to showcase his skills. At least, the skills he says he has. We just always take his word for it. On December 15th in Dallas, Texas, the striped one takes on UFC veteran Sean Salmon, in a fight that begs the question… “How many fish jokes wil be made by Dec.15th?”
The over/under is 47
Mark Cuban has decided that being a billionaire with a basketball team and a TV station isn’t enough, he needs to jump into the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Who better to have represent you than the bipolar MMA celebrity who spends more time on his Sidekick than breathing? Exactly. When MayheM isn’t jetsetting around the world, doing Sirius radio shows, making club appearances, or causing chaos at the Triumph United offices, he’s busting his ass at Team Quest, in Temecula. MayheM will be more than fully prepared for this fight. As if having the “African Assassin” Sokoudjou tossing you around isn’t enough, he also has to deal with PRIDE champion and overall badass, Dan Henderson every day. That’s like fighting a lion and your prize for winning is the chance to fight a bear.
The MayheM Monkeys will be out in full force in the American Airlines arena, to potentially face off against the Salmon…Salmons? We’re not sure if that’s the official nickname, but if it is, hey, that’s their journey. We may never know for sure, but one thing we are sure of, is that the OSIRIS superstar will not dissappoint in his HDNet debut. Win or lose (losing isn’t an option, it’s in his contract), MayheM promises to deliver one thing… entertainment. And some ass whoopin’.. And a dope entrance. And some cool hair. And some pale skin. And I’m pretty sure that’s more than one thing. And I’m sick of typing “and”.
When asked on his thoughts about his upcoming slugfest, MayheM replied “I have to go eat a peanut butter sandwich.”
THANKS FOR THE INSIGHT, JASON!
