7.24.07 AST DEW TOUR, STOP 2 CLEVELAND OHIO
Cleveland, Ohio hosted the second round of the AST Dew Tour. The course design and layout looked promising, with two massive 90 foot + dirt jumps, a technical double double section, and a slew of ramp jumps. Unfortunately, the course would not be ridden to it’s full potential. Mixing dirt riders and high speed winds courtesy of Lake Erie is not a safe equation.
Practices were cancelled and prelims were delayed till 11PM. Jeremy Lusk and Brian Foster both looked to improve on their first tour stop results. During the break in the tour, Foster learned Heel Clicker Backflips, and hoped to use it to his advantage to land himself in the finals. In his second run of qualifying, Foster lost his footing on a Backflip Nacnac and was thrown from the bike. The gruesome crash left Foster with a dislocated left wrist. Get well soon Bubbs!
Jeremy Lusk was unable to make it into the finals out of the first qualifying runs. Lusk came out swinging in round two of qualifying to take the win and qualify 7th. With huge Seatgrab Backflips, Super Flips, and Indian Air to Indian Air Backflips, Lusk was going to be a force to reckon with in the finals. Lusk’s chance at taking his first Dew stop win was cut short when the finals were cancelled due to unsafe riding conditions. The results from prelims would be counted as the final results. Instead, the riders put on a demo for the crowd to give them their moneys worth.
