Fable Skateboards

A few years back my friend Brad and I had an idea. I would move back to Ohio, and he and I would start a skate shop just outside of Cleveland. The shop was going to be called Joy/Pain, but before any concrete plans were made, life got in the way. For reasons I can’t remember, I never moved to back to Ohio, and Brad decided to focus on his family and open up a pizza shop. That was years ago, and since then many things have changed, but one thing that never changed was Brad’s dream of opening a skate shop. Late last year Brad opened up a shop with the support of his wife, and Fable Skateboards was born. Located in historic Oberlin, Ohio, Oberlin is the home of many stops of the Underground Railroad, one of the nations leading liberal arts colleges, and now Fable Skateboards.

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know I am in morocco. I am with photog Scott Bauer doing a story for Australian Surfing Life Mag. Erik Derman is videoing for me as well. Been here for the last 10 days. Waves have been fun right point breaks 6-8 ft and another swell this weekend. Hopefully will be firing! I will be home on the 22 of Feb. Talk to you soon,

This past weekend Ox, Hagy, Homan, and a kid they call “The Boy” were up in Redmond, Oregon partaking in the 4th annual MX challenge. The event was a great success, even though they all were riding on Coke, Coke-a-Cola that is. Coke syrup was poured onto the floor, so that when the syrup dried there would be a bit of traction. Who knew there would be so many uses for Coke. Is Coke the new Duct tape? The drive home lasted more than 18 hours, and 5 of those were in a blizzard, but everyone made it home safely and are ready for their next adventure.
