Leticia skate well all weekend and battled it out with Alexis Sablone. When the finals scores were tallied, Leticia was in the lead by merely 2 points, but that was enough to take home the won and $25k. Congrats Leticia!

Karen won the silver medal last year, so this year she had her sights set on gold. Allysha skated well in her runs and in the jam session learned two new tricks. Allysha finished in seventh. Karen had flip tricks and lip tricks this year. She nailed every run and killed it in the jam session. It was a close competition as all the girls on the podium were separated by a few points with Karen taking the bronze medal.

ESPN will celebrate its 16th annual action sports event entirely downtown between the STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre, the Los Angeles Coliseum and L.A. LIVE.

The 2010 event marks the seventh consecutive year that the X Games will take place in Los Angeles. Thirty-one hours of live HD programming on ESPN and ESPN2 will be aired over the four days of the event, as well as on ESPN International, ESPN.com\action, ESPN Classic, ESPN3.com, and SportsCenter.

The last two weeks, I was in Canada for the LF team trip then  to Jamstock in Kamloops, Canada for our annual Monster houseboat team trip. Between traveling, contest, and clinics, here are a few projects I have in the works.

As for the all girls contest I have been planning, this year was difficult because of all the budget cuts.  I am currently organizing the contest to be held next spring in Mission Bay, San Diego or Lake Elsinore for the wake session, and Carlsbad Lagoon for the rail Jam.  

Another project I’ve been exited to work on is a website called Mahfia.com.  My good friend Kim Woo is launching the site the 23 of this month.  It is a legit all girls action sports site, with interaction with the fans and includes many media outlets for athletes and their sponsors.  There will be current video’s and photo’s updated daily.  If sponsors need any photo’s or video’s of their female athletes and need them on hand quickly, Mahfia can shoot photo’s or film and edit short video’s. The purpose of the website is to create more opportunities for all female athletes.
