The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1967 when it was first run. Over time legends of the off-road community have taken on the challenge throughout the rugged terrain of the Nevada desert, but amongst the many who have finished as champions... they are a part of the Mint history forever.
Ryan Hagy has had his sights on shifting gears into the off-road sport while looking towards a promising future behind the wheel of any desert or short course truck. In 2011 Hagy created and studied his own learning curve, closing out the season in his General Tire ‘Ox’ Super Lite truck in the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series. With friends and respected champions in the sport such as Cameron Steele, Justin Smith, Brian Deegan, and many more, Hagy has took every angle of experience to show significant improvement and focus on taking his goal to the next level. It was just a matter of time until he’s contending for the top spot on the podium.
Hagy sat behind the wheel along with our good buddy Ryan Cropley who navigated during the 2012 Mint 400 race last weekend in the 71Ox truck. Saturday the race kicked off while Vince DiMaio, Hagy, Cropley and the team got down to business, tackling the grueling terrain of the desert, finishing 2nd in the 2012 General Tire Mint 400! Congratulations to you all for such a solid win and taking on the Mint!
