Miles Rogoish spent a good portion of 2010 plagued with injuries, but he’s officially back and more motivated than ever before. You’ve had a whole bunch of injuries throughout 2010. What were all of them?

At the end of 2009 I tore my ACL is Spain, which set me up to be injured for the first seven months of 2010. After being released from the doctor to ride, I shattered part of my hand on a face defending my girlfriend and I from a random drunk cheese. This brings me to now; while filming for this edit, I noticed my wrist was still giving me trouble like it did in 2009. After shooting the turndown on the six block I decided it was time to get it checked out. After the X-rays, the doctor informed me that it’s very plausible that I have a fractured or broken scaphoid and would need to have an MRI to be sure. I got baked and missed my MRI on purpose and went to ride. Right now, I’m deciding when will be the best time to cast it.

How are you now? 100%?
Riding BMX, will my body ever be at 100%? Hahaha.

Did your knee give you any problems while you were filming for this edit?  
My knee that I recently had surgery on gave trouble because of the constant nag of a robot on my leg.

Was the uprail to 180 lookback the first one you’ve done since that trick took you out? 
Yes, and it was actually the last trick I filmed for the edit. That rail is a hit or miss with church security, so I was psyched once I pulled it and could get the footage out. I really wanted that trick in the edit.

You’re about to make the move from Tulsa to San Diego. What inspired that?
My girlfriend wanted to move to LA for some friends and work. With Osiris being in Carlsbad and so much of the Subrosa family living in San Diego, everything just kind of fell into place. Being landlocked gets to your head. I love Tulsa, but some change will be nice for my career. I told myself I would never bail to Cali, but it’s a BMX dream.

Is this your first time ever moving out of Tulsa?
Totally. I’ve been gone for close to a year living with friends on the road, but never had my own security in another city or state. I’m extremely excited to move to the bay and get hyphyyy. Haha.

How’s your section in Get Used To It coming along?
I grinded a truck recently. I just now started saving back footage for G.U.T.I and am super excited to keep it going. Gonna have the cast up soon, though, and take a break. Back to the film game then.

What else do you have in the works for 2011?
I’m psyched my pro model Subrosa “Diablus” frame and PEGarillos are gonna be available at the start of the year. I also just designed a signature grip that is a Trip / Subrosa collaboration called “The Bongrip.” Hahahaha. The Trip is going to grow a lot this year with Ty and I both living in San Diego. Trip crew dudes are also moving to San Diego in December. This year will kick ass. With all of the good dudes that ride and film for The Trip and other companies that support my riding, I couldn’t be more excited.
