8.23.10 JEFF OX KARGOLA TAKES ON LOORS @ GLEN HELEN PARKWAY!

Osiris FMX Team Rider Jeff ” Ox” Kargola gets his first taste of Lucas Oil Offroad Racing! Ox geared up and headed out to Glen Helen, CA to prep his Mazda rotary engine-powered Super Lite truck. For a “first timer” you don’t want to under estimate the “OX“. He has placed second at the 2010 Baja 500 in Class 22, took first place at the 2010 San Felipe 250 in Class 22, was a silver medalist at the Winter X Games for “Best Trick,” was a WFA Big Air Points Champ and was the first person to complete a “Superman Seat-Grab Back Flip”, recently a candidate for XGAMES 16 and made a appearance in the 2010 Dew Tour! Experience in the dirt… defiantly but still some pointers from Veteran Desert Assassin Cameron Steele couldn’t hurt either.
Ox was not the only “first timer” on the track, he was going up against his Mulisha buddies. Twitch has been racing a while now but Todd Potter and Aussi X Games Best Trick Gold Winner, Cam Sinclair.
Ox was ready to take on his Metal Mulisha buddies and the rest of the track drives. As Ox suited up and figured out all the buttons he staged out in the hot pits ready for a shot at the podium! As the Rockstar Go Green flagged dropped Twitch, George, Ricky James, Leising, and CJ Greaves briefly engaged in a 5-way battle for third.
After the drivers had settled into place and James pulled off the track with a broken truck, it was still Kirchner and Ward in first and second, with Twitch in third, George fourth, and Greaves fifth in the #33 Monster Energy/Traxxas entry.
Ward then seemed to lose a little pace, as Twitch, George, Greaves, and Jeff Kargola all got around him to take over second through fifth positions. At this point, Kirchner was still the leader, and he was now chased by Twitch, Greaves, Kargola in #2, and Leising. After the restart, a pile-up in turn four forced the top four drivers into new spots, with Twitch now the leader, Kargola second, Kirchner third, Greaves fourth, and Leising still fifth. Kirchner then bicycled in turn four, handing third to Greaves. Up front, the all-Metal Mulisha battle for the lead between Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and Jeff “Ox” Kargola was really getting the attention of the crowd.

Kargola made several good runs on Twitch, but Twitch was able to shut the door every time. Greaves was sitting patiently in third, waiting for a chance to pounce, and the chance came on the final lap. Twitch stuttered in turn four, and Greaves got by on the outside to take over second spot. First was one spot too many for Greaves, however, as Twitch stayed clean to take the win. Greaves came home second, with Twitch third, Kirchner fourth, and Leising fifth.
“It was all time! Battled my way from last to 2nd, then smashed w/ twitchy forever, could have knifed in on him a few times but played nice. Bobbled on the 2nd to last turn on last lap going for the win, twitch messed up and caused me to mess up, got passed and salvaged a 3rd. Pretty happy minus knowing I could have done better! All… good though, so much fun battling and smashing w/ twitchy! M/M yeewwwww! ” – Jeff “Ox” Kargola
