6.16.10 RYAN NYQUIST CHECKS IN
We have two updates from Ryan Nyquist in one post. This guy is on the ball!
This past weekend was the Red Bull Stomping Ground in Chicago. A dirt jumping comp in downtown ChiTown with Fuzzy Hall being the man behind the shovel. The course was great. Lots of fun lines and good times, and a flipped over taxi cab between the jumps had the stage set for a truly unique event.
Then the weather rolled in. Rain, thunderstorms, heat, humidity, cold, and wind made the event pretty undesirable. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t break either. Delays, cancellations, and overall confusion became the theme for the event. In the end we got it done and had a good time. Wild moves went down in the finals and by the end of the night, Red Bull had us all partying and enjoying ourselves that everyone had forgotten about the bad weather all together. I love Chicago!
Update #2 – Haro Week at Woodward
Myself and the Haro Team were at Woodward East this week for “Haro Week.” It had been a while since I had visited Woodward East… at least five years! So, needless to say, a lot had changed. New parks and plazas had popped up everywhere. The small little pond they had before had recently been expanded to a large lake with a beach and paddle surf board thingies. I only had a couple days at camp before having to head home, but some highlights of my trip were riding the new dirt jumps that Adam Aloise and Ronnie Napolitan had built, getting to ride the amazing 7′ mini spine in the outdoor street course, and just being able to witness Cory Nastazio and Dennis Enarson interact with eachother… pure comedy!! I wasn’t able to snap too many photos, because I was riding the majority of the time, but I hope you enjoy the ones I took! Big thanks to Haro and Woodward for making this while thing happen.
